In Q2 2023, the top five virtual pet applications on the Android platform in Russia exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

My Talking Angela 2 saw fluctuating weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at around 68K in late March, downloads dipped to approximately 55K in mid-April, before climbing back to around 78K by early June. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from about 264K at the end of March to roughly 327K by the end of June.

My Talking Tom 2 experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads, reaching around 96K in late May. However, downloads dropped to approximately 52K in early June. Active users also displayed a positive trend, rising from about 872K at the end of March to nearly 1.08M by mid-June, before slightly declining to around 980K by the end of the quarter.

My Talking Tom Friends had a varied download pattern, peaking at around 86K in early May and then stabilizing at approximately 57K towards the end of June. Active users numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 460K to 488K during the quarter, before slightly declining to about 427K by late June.

Bubbu – My Virtual Pet Cat displayed steady weekly downloads, starting at around 68K at the end of March and maintaining a consistent level, ending the quarter at approximately 55K. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, beginning at about 663K and remaining stable around the 590K mark by the end of June.

Talking Ben the Dog showed a decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 71K in late March and dropping to approximately 31K by the end of June. Active users also decreased from about 231K at the end of March to roughly 143K by late June.
